Hi guys. I'm a newbie to amphibians having just bought a pair of marbled newts from Justin. There are a couple of names I recognise though hi KJ.

Hi there Seems that the idea of keeping animals outdoors is more established on the islands I have a few setups also from 450 square meter and down to 1 square meter terraria. All year round I keep some animals out there including: Natrix maura (Port au Prince) Lacerta agilis agilis (normal and red backs) Lacerta viridis (Hungary) Lacerta strigata (Groznyi) Lacerta schreiberi Timon lepidus Zootoca vivipara Cordylus melanotus subviridis Eumeces fasciatus (Chilton AL) Eumeces inexpectatus (Chilton AL) Eumeces laticeps (Chilton AL) Anguis fragilis Emys orbicularis orbicularis Salamandra s. salamandra some animals and terraria can be seen at my site reptilia.dkBest wisehs Søe

I live in north Donegal in Ireland so its pretty cold here aswell. Russian green toads, russian sand lizards, and alpine newts have thrived for me. most other species you could get away with keeping in a greenhouse.
P.S welcome to the board!
