Hi
Can I recommend Reptiles Of Northern and Central Europe by Donald Street as a good reference book or a good read if you haven't already got it. It is an old book last published in 1979 but still interesting and very relevant today. My copy is a old library book which I purchased from the internet but still in good condition. I can't remember how much I paid for it but don't pay too much if you find a copy. The ISBN no is 0713413743. Good luck !

Thanks Chris, I'll look out for it. Actually I was just emailing someone today about an old book I have "Lives of British Lizards" by Colin Simms. He particularly did an out in the field study on the northern Sand Lizard, very informative book and published 1970. Maybe some older herp. members know of it, or even the guy himself, or you have it on your bookshelves. I really don't know whether anyone else has done such in- depth study on all three lizards. If there is, I would be interested to hear from them.
