Hi, Gosh ! where has everyone gone ? This used to such a vibrant and informative forum. So sad that there seems to be nothing happening now. Anyway, I have a question...After trying unsuccessfully to breed live foods for my lizards, such as mealworms, crickets etc with no success, then unsuccessfully trap moths and try to feed the lizards with the meager trappings of a sweep net, I was thinking has anyone tried feeding stick insects to lizards ? I know that they are easy to breed from keeping them as pets as a kid and know that after a few months you seem to end up with hundreds and easily have have a variety of sizes pretty quickly. The problem that I can see is that they may be poisonous, they certainly look like they may be unappetizing. If the stick insects eat privet then the plant toxins may be passed on. Any thoughts on this ??

I have seen a type of vietnamese stick insect sold as feeders at reptile shows. This type can be fed leafy green vegetables like lettuce and all are female.
