I have just made a 5x2 meter vivarium and will be adding some wall lizards. probably captured near Folkestone. There are lots of piles of rocks and hiding places. Would I be advised to keep one pair only? I was thinking about territoriality. Would they be compatible with common lizards?

I have a slightly larger reptilliary than you and I have something like 10 or 12 Podarcis Muralis (Wall Lizard) and four Podarcis Sicula (Wall/Ruin Lizards), in together, plus recently hatched babies that I haven't been able to catch, plus 2 or 3 Sceloporous Cyanogenys, Triturus Cristatus and Bombina Bombina. Some not very serious in-fighting occurs occasionally but no damage. Not like keeping Timon Lepida together (which I do in another reptilliary) where tails are lost on a regular basis. All the animals in both of my reptilliarys over-winter outside with no artificial heating and they are all doing well

I keep Podarcis Muralis and Sicula in the same reptilliary that is 5mtrs x 4mtrs, and have done for several years with no problems. The occasional chase around the rocks etc. in the breeding season, but no real trouble. Both are breeding
