Over the years I have fed these to a large variety of tropical lizards and a white's tree frog. Lizards chomp up their food before swallowing it. I havre had 2 large female common toads in my 5x2 metre outside vivarium for about a month. They ate large black crickets and after a week or so started waiting in the feed tray at dusk. Crickets in the house are a bit unpopular so i decided to give them giant meal worms instead. I fed them several of these 2 nights in a row. They have not been seen now for 2 weeks. They cannot escape and are presumed dead. The vivarium is escape proof but unfortunately I cannot find the bodies as it contains almost 2 tons of rock. I googled this and because amphibians do not chew the worms remain alive long enough in the amphibians stomach to do serious damage with their strong jaws.
