it's always good fun to try and spot the lizards in the enclosure, you have to look carefully, but it usually is rewarded with a sight of them

just come back from there, saw one tiny baby sand lizard

Not the best time to visit - the adults are quite secretive that late in the season and young were late hatching. You probably saw one of the first. In fact at least 35 were hatched and of these around 20 were released in North Wales about a week later. If anyone wants to see Sand lizards at Chester or in the wild the best month by far is May.
