Thats mad, I've just being taking photos of the same thing!!! Very nice though. Are you managing to get them feeding on red daphnia for colouring up? All my juvies take them but i could do with obtaining some colour powder as daphnia supplies are running a bit thin, any suggestions?

Adam> As soon as they come out off the water I get them straight onto fruitfly & pinheads with plenty of calcium & vits. Colour enhancers are fine for B.orientalis and B.bombina but if used with variegata they give a false colouration. The beautiful pastal yellows and blues of kolombatovici will come through on their own. Will> Last year I was asking about £3.00 - £5.00 for a juvenile but am not letting any go this year as I need to grow them on to bulk up my breeding group, I've also bought more in to give a bit of diversity to the blood line so may have some CB adults available next year when I can sort out sexes.

that's a reasonable price! i'd have thought they would be a little more expensive then orientalis or even bombina.
btw, did the bombina pachypus amplexus come to any joy?

How much is it? and where can i obtain some? Colours don't bother me too much but i think it may improve my chances of selling the young! Adam

Well as of later this week you should be able to buy it from www.pollywog.co.ukI'm not sure of prices yet. As I say it is not needed for variegata subspecies as they develop the colouration naturaly so will give a false colouration making the juveniles less desirable and harder to sell but for orientalis they work well.
