just been cleaning out my notophthlamus and ambystoma enclosure, and i've seen my opacum pair for the first time since december! I also discovered 3 of the 4 notos (they were quite hard to find considering the size of the pond so the 4th is still in there probably) along with hundreds of well developed larvae. most (if not all) of which have both sets of legs. I'm so happy!

since their pond is just a huge plastic box, i've lifted it out and i'm counting the larvae. i'm 5 minutes in and i've laready ntted 26 larvae and seen as much again. no sign of the other male yet, he may well have gone terrestrial though
