hi guys. i'm trying to post some pictures of my newts and salamanders but i'm not sure how to. my salamander enclosure is currently being cleaned out and re-planted, but i will post pics as soon as i've done.

thanks for the reply. ordinarily the salamanders would remain in the enclosure year round, but with this being the first year i have used it i was unsure whether or not it afforded the salamanders enough frost protection. so i put them in the shed in a box of leaves and soil, where it gets close to, but never below freezing.

Glad you worked it out, nice pic!
I provide my salamanders with a polysteryne box sunk in the ground filled with lots of rotten wood and leaves and rocks to provide a ramp for access. This is the second winter they have spent outside with no probelms. Only problem with this is that they spend all their time down there even in summer!
