some alpestris, apestris morphs my female triturus pygmaeus male alpestris cyreni young pleurodeles 7cm long karellini larvae some rana temporaria in my pond

cheers will. have you had any success yet this season? i hope you succeed with your marbled salamanders, i may try some when i have more enclosures built

marbled sals are autumn breeders, and i missed out with them this year, but i might have more success this year. i've deliberately not bred my alpines this spring either, my female is too thin, i've been trying to fatten her up, but she's very reluctant. the marmoratus are all female...
looks like everything is resting on the notos, i'll chech then out now before the light goes. I should also get eggs from my newly aquired vulgaris, though the females were fat with eggs when i caught them.

let me know if you get eggs from the notos, iwould love to try them. i could trade you eggs or larvae from my species or i would buy them

very nice alpestris, very vivid couldours. Are they outdoor bred? those frogs are pretty big looking too, I had to look twice at them.

Phil: no eggs yet, but one female is fat with eggs, the other less so. and both males are in "breeding dress"

Will, Don't expect to see lots of eggs all at once, most often Noto's lay them a couple at a time over several months so eggs can easily go un-noticed especially in an outdoor enclosure.

yes adam, the alpestris are from you and are doing very well. not as well as the karellini however, they are about 6 or 7cm now
