It's a wild one my neighbour unearthed yesterday. I can still get the Italian subspecies if you are interested.

I have quite a few british bufo bufo at the moment so Im not really interested in the italian form. I thought you may have gotten this species in stock as I was suprised they are still around at this time of year.

When should I expect to find my Bufo bufo emerging from hibernation. there are quite a few common frogs in teh garden but no sign of my own toads yet. These guys are too young to breed this year but at what age do they mature?

have you got amphibians in your ponds now? no signs of anything over here in Shropshire, but in Dumfries and Gallway every body of water is full of spawn according to my dad.

yeah there are some frogs in the pond but no spawn yet

the frogs are back in our local ponds, but only a few clumps of spawn here and there. the toads are generally 3 or four weeks later
