It may be of interest , I left some tiny toadlets in my outdoor enclosure and they came through last winter fine. The adults are outside all year apart from breeding when they go into a heated tank to encourage breeding, then back out again when spawned. This year have got an abundance of toadlets

Hi, Couple of my yellow bellieds emerged from hibernation (outdoor enclosure) late last week but no sign since or of remaining four, hard frost last night has made me wonder if I should have scooped that pair up and taken them inside until spring actually starts! I see on the lizard threads keepers often do this, anybody ever considered it for amphibs?

My Amphibians stay out year round. they are fairly good at getting away from the frost so I wouldnt worry too much about them. As long as you have plenty of places for them to retreat to. have you guys any pictures of your enclosures that you keep them in?

(hmm seem to be in habit of replying to own messages)
Horray, YBTs have spawned in new pond (see pics in enclosure section). I fact two pairs went straight into amplexus virtually as they hit the water (I guess mimicing natural explosive breeding after rain)
Given nr perfect weather across much of UK for last few months can I assume everyone has had a good start to year (and bottom will have dropped out of market!?)
