Oh well, All my lizards have disappeared, probably for good now. Has anyone else's gone the same way ? Is this too early ? Last year they didn't disappear until the end of October. The weather hasn't been too good but there has been sunny periods especially today which has been warm and sunny but there was still no sign of life in any of the cages. Now I'll have to find something else to do until spring arrives again.

My adults seem to have. The youngsters are still up.Down here we are having warm days and cool nights. Why not get a few tropical lizards for inside?

A good idea Viridis, I used to keep geckoes and snakes etc when younger but I've really no interest with them anymore. Anyway my wife would kill me !!

Hiya
So far, here on the south coast, only the L agilis exigua have gone down so far. All others are showing up when (and if!) the sun shines. About typical - the exigua are always early. The rest vary from end September to early/mid november depending on weather and individuals rather than species.
And I do have a few semi-tropicals indoors to keep me entertained over winter!

Thats sounds true with mine. The Exigua especially the females are first to disappear then the males, but depending on the individuals too. Looking at some notes from last year the Viridis I have didn't disappear until mid /late October last year. Maybe it was the poor August that set them off, but we've just had two sunny, warm days here in York but no sign of anything. (the nights are a little chilly though) I thought that they would take advantage of the last warm days but maybe they don't want to take the risk if the weather turns for the worst. It was strange that within a matter of days my Viridis, Exigua and Billineata all disappeared into hibernation. I've been messing about with one of the cages, making quite a bit of noise but nothing stirded. One of the billineata's came out of hibernation very early in Feb and was kept inside for a month or two until the weather warmed up before been released outside. It did well to last this long in the season. A young hybrid billineata/exigua mix that I have is still out and about but not feeding, I think that too will soon disappear.
I'm missing them already. Maybe I could look at keeping some European geckoes inside to keep me going until spring.

Well, I seem to be doing better here in Kent then. We have had some lovely warm days Lepida still out and about. one Bilineata female still feeding, others out but have not been feeding since early August! Vivipara still active and feeding.
