Thats right, i have plenty of newts for sale at present. If i were you, i would throw the female in the fridge for 6 weeks should bring her in.

Hi, it's only just reaching approximately 2 1/2" he metamorphosed on october the 16th 2004, don't know when he was hatched as the spawning season is very long probably early on though as he was amongst the first to metamorphose.

It is far too late to get eggs this year under natural circumstances. Should you require any help in spring please let me know.
Also i agree with Ben, you really should concentrate on just 1 species to begin with it makes success far more likely,

i'd try them all in a garden shed i think they would be fine if protected from near freezing temperatures!

Yes Killian she has dropped around 70 eggs so far with plenty moreon the way.

How many have you got, what is SVL length of average female? How are you keeping them at the moment and are they eating well? The reason I ask about husbandry is that i don't want to throw them directly outside if they have been kept indoors.

I forgot to say, a few years ago I kept this species outdoors and saw them a little bit more than the fuscus but they are almost completely fossorial. I can't remember seeing them except in the pitch black.
